Qualification Intro
To become qualified, members need to complete the UBU Qualification Cards. No qualifications are necessary to help with get-ins - they are only needed to become Lead Crew for show.
Theatre Safety is a basic qualification needed before specialising in your chosen discipline. If you would like to work in the Winston Theatre, you will also need to complete the Winston Qualification, which is designed to get you used to working in the main venue.
When you hold the Theatre Safety Qualification, you can move on to either Stage Management, Lighting or Sound. There are basic qualifications in each discipline, which enable you to be a Lead Crew member. Lead Crew holding basic qualifications are supervised and supported by a more experienced member to help check designs, etc.
After the basic qualifications are the 'Design' qualifications. These allow you to Lead Crew a show without being supervised, and prove competence and experience in design.
